Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our critical care team in the Intensive Care Unit. This night shift position offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-acuity, evidence-based care to critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate care for critically ill patients in the ICU during night hours
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate appropriate treatment plans
  • Perform bedside procedures within scope (e.g., central lines, arterial lines, intubations, etc., if credentialed)
  • Collaborate with attending intensivists, consulting teams, and bedside nurses
  • Respond to rapid response and code situations
  • Document clinical findings, progress notes, and orders in the EMR in a timely manner
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds (as appropriate for night shift)
  • Ensure continuity of care and smooth transition to day team

Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (ACNP or AGACNP preferred)
  • Current certification as an NP from an accredited board (ANCC or AANP)
  • Minimum of 1 2 years of ICU or critical care experience as an NP or RN
  • BLS, ACLS required
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently at night
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
