Position Description: Violence Intervention Specialist
Reporting to the program supervisor, the Violence Intervention Specialist (VIS) will provide culturally competent, intensive case management to victimized patients enrolled in the Hospital Based Violence Intervention Program, Encompass Omaha. The VIS plays a lead role in advocating for patients by utilizing a multidisciplinary approach of recovery and healing through collaboration of acute care medical services and long-term community-based services, and by addressing barriers to obtain equitable opportunity for medical care, behavior health, and social service interventions.
