Faculty Position (Open Rank) - Family Nurse Practitioner | Creighton University

Creighton University invites applications for a 12-month, full-time, family nurse practitioner to join the faculty at the College of Nursingâ?? Omaha campus. The applicant  will assume dual teaching responsibilities in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.   Ideally, the candidate will have experience with both on-line and face-to-face classroom instruction as well as lab/simulation. The faculty will have the opportunity to clinically supervise undergraduate and/graduate students in the clinical settings, working across diverse populations. In addition, the faculty will assume student advising responsibilities as well as mentor doctoral students with scholarly projects, as appropriate.  The faculty member will be expected to pursue scholarly activities appropriate to their appointment, position, and rank.        

Faculty rank and tenure status, at the time of appointment, will be commensurate with the applicant's teaching experience and record of scholarship. 

Qualifications

Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in nursing or closely related field from an accredited institution and national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse practitioner. A current unencumbered RN licensure, board certification, and APRN in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for licensure, is necessary. Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with faculty, administrators, staff, and students to foster the mission and goals of Creighton University and the College of Nursing.
