POSITION (Title, Unit, Shift, Hours)
Central Services Technician, 8am-4:30pm, 40 hours/week

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with processes and tasks in the supply and equipment functions within the clinical services facility management system.
• Works in collaboration with the patient care and case management systems, facilities management system, materials manager, buyers, and Central Supply Specialist to purchase, track, and distribute to clinical units patient supplies and equipment items needed for daily use.
• Special orders supplies when needed.
• Recommend process improvements in order to have the right supplies and equipment to the right place timely and at the most efficient cost.
• Contributes to the financial and quality outcomes as it relates to the facility management system and to Madonna as a whole.
• Assist with the revisions of the supply and equipment functions' operational definitions.
• Adheres to all Madonna's operational definitions.
• Work will be performed in an ethical and legal manner following organizational policies, processes, protocols and procedures.
• Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for Madonna as a whole, including upholding the mission and values for the department and facility.

  EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• High school equivalency or knowledge level.
• One year experience in inventory control dealing with stocking and/or distribution or healthcare experience required.
• Knowledge of medical supplies and medical equipment preferred.
• Either training and/or basic computer and calculator skills required.
