Creative Digital Content Writer/Copywriter

Job Title: Creative Digital Content Writer (Senior Copywriter)

We are looking for a Senior Copywriter to join the marketing team in Scottsbluff Nebraska.  Legacy Coop is a multi-line business in the heart of agriculture country and we're about to reinvent how we show up in the world.  The ideal candidate is a journalist/writer, obsessed with details, that can take the reins on the voice and help lead this evolution.  

This position is full-time and comes with Legacy Coop's full-time benefits package including retirement, 401K, holiday, vacation and sick time, as well as competitive pay.  This position is on-site/in person so the ideal candidate lives in or around Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  We will consider making this a part-time remote position for the right candidate.  

TASKS INCLUDE:

• Own the written voice of our brand across web, signage, packaging, events, email, in-store experiences, and more
• Write clear, clever, and genuine copy that invites people in—no corporate fluff, no sterile “solutions”
• Collaborate with creative, store, and marketing teams to rework existing content and develop a new standard moving forward
• Research and reflect the unique character of our customers and region in everything you write
• Shape a new content strategy and calendar to align with business goals—but lead with story

Preferred Qualifications:

• A college degree in a writing-related field (journalism, English, advertising, creative writing, etc.)
• 3+ years of professional copywriting experience, ideally in retail, grocery, food, fuel station, or consumer brands
• A large portfolio; preference for candidates with different brands or businesses
• Journalism, creative writing, or editorial background preferred
• An eye for tone, rhythm, structure, and emotion in language
• Comfortable writing for both digital and physical spaces; from websites to whitepapers to chalkboards
