AECOM is currently seeking an Construction Program Manager for our Orlando, FL office. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Construction Program Manager to oversee and manage construction projects at an active airport. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, particularly within the aviation industry, and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Plan, direct, and coordinate all construction activities at the airport, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and airport staff to ensure project requirements are met.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to airport operations.
Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
Manage contracts and negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
Ensure all construction activities comply with FAA regulations and other relevant standards.
Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree, Professional Engineer (P.E.), and/or CCM or PMP certification is preferred
10+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in an airport or aviation environment
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations, particularly those related to airport construction
Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects
Experience with managing multiple program delivery methods, such as Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Design-Build (DB), Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), Progressive Design-Build (PDB), etc
Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and programs in an airport environment of $10M or more in contract value
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in construction management software and tools
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
