This is not a remote position and will require traveling to our different communities at various times to include Omaha, Lincoln and Des Moines, Iowa.

Job Duties & Skills Required:
What You Will Do
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the strategy, support, and continuous improvement of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and related platforms (ATS, LMS) used by HR and Payroll teams. This position is responsible for overseeing system functionality, ensuring data integrity, managing system upgrades and releases, and optimizing data workflows to enhance business processes. The HRIS Manager serves as a key liaison between functional teams and technical resources, providing guidance to subject matter experts and ensuring alignment between system capabilities and organizational goals. This role will drive innovation, lead cross-functional projects, and ensure that HRIS solutions support both current operations and future strategic initiatives. Key Areas | Key Responsibilities and Duties of the Job |
HRIS Administration & Maintenance | - Provide oversight and leadership in the identification, development, implementation, and optimization of HRIS and related systems.
- Lead HRIS project teams, guiding efforts in business requirement gathering, process analysis, project planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and milestone delivery.
- Oversee ongoing system maintenance, upgrades, testing, and issue resolution. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including technical and functional teams, to ensure seamless deployment of system patches, enhancements, and configurations.
- Ensure documentation of processes, protocols, and configuration changes is up to date and aligned with best practices.

System Training & Documentation | - Direct the development and deployment of system training programs, user documentation, and communication strategies to support end-user adoption and effective use of HRIS platforms.
- Provide leadership in onboarding support, systems training, and ongoing education for HRIS users across departments.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to evaluate training needs and implement change management strategies during system rollouts or major upgrades.
- Ensure continuous data integrity by establishing governance frameworks and leading initiatives to audit, monitor, and correct system data in collaboration with HRIS users.

Project Coordination | - Lead the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and user experience of HRIS tools and services.
- Serve as the primary liaison to third-party vendors and cross-functional partners (e.g., payroll, IT, finance), ensuring successful system integration and alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide end-to-end project leadership for HR technology initiatives, including scoping, stakeholder management, timeline oversight, change management, and post-implementation evaluation.
- Guide the evaluation and approval of policy changes or service innovations, ensuring alignment with HR strategy and executive direction.

Leadership & Strategy | - Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to HRIS team members and project contributors, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to HR leadership by identifying technology opportunities that support business objectives and enhance the employee experience.
- Champion the adoption and optimization of HR technology across the organization by influencing stakeholders, facilitating alignment, and driving organizational change.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to ensure system initiatives are integrated with enterprise-wide priorities, and that HRIS strategies support compliance, scalability, and future growth.
- Provides leadership to direct reports including setting performance targets, monitoring performance, coaching performance and hiring/firing responsibilities.

Other | - Provide support for HRIS including, but not limited to researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements and business needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Education-
- Bachelors degree in computer science, MIS, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is required.
- Equivalent experience may be substituted for education requirement.
Experience-
- Five (5) years of HRIS experience is required.
- Two (2) years of experience leading a team is required.
- Knowledge of Human Resources applications, processes and best practices is strongly preferred.
- One year of project management experience or systems implementation experience is required.
- Experience with UKG preferred.
Other Requirements-
- Ability to travel between Immanuel locations and/or trainings/conferences.
